Two Injured in Santa Clara Single-Vehicle Incident

December 23, 2020 Alan Ahdoot

On Thursday, December 17th, a single-vehicle crash was reported on 14 Freeway in Santa Clarita. Los Angeles County Fire Department was the first responder at the scene. The incident happened just past 6:00 p.m. near Soledad Canyon Road. A vehicle of unknown model, which was carrying one driver and one passenger, veered off-road into a cliff and fell 100-feet downwards. Both survived the crash, though they suffered from severe injuries, and were evacuated by helicopter to the nearest hospital.

Can Auto Insurance Deny Medical Coverage After a Single-Vehicle Crash?

Unfortunately, it is possible. This can happen if your coverage lacks a provision for personal injury protection, which allows you to file a claim following an incident with your vehicle where no other parties were involved, such as single-vehicle crashes. In a situation like this, disputing your insurance provider’s decision may be possible depending on the terms of your insurance policy.
